Young Adult Group (18-35)
Our Young Adult program is an open, welcoming space to find like-minded peers and build community. At our meetings, outings and events we share our lives, play, and plan events like social justice and climate justice actions. We meet on Tuesdays from 6-7:30 PM in Room 114B on the Hillcrest Campus. Our programs are coordinated via our private Discord Server.
Events, Outings and Programs
Young Adult Camp
For over ten years, our young adult camp has been an event where genuine people with similar values and aspirations gather at beautiful Camp de Benneville Pines in the San Bernardino National Forest to connect, work on social justice, learn about UU values, meet like-minded peers from other congregations, relax in nature, hike, swim, dance, sing and enjoy campfire time. Young Adult Camp takes place annually on Labor Day Weekend.
For more information, contact our Youth and Young Adult Coordinator Lara Anderson by phone at (619) 398-4440 or by email at [email protected]. Or, if you're ready, register today for the 2024 UU Young Adult Camp.

Volunteer Opportunities
Are you looking for a way to change the world ... and yourself? Volunteer with us! We guarantee you'll make new friends and have fun - all while helping in your community.
Burrito Project
The Burrito Project is a program in which we make burritos together as a group on the Hillcrest campus and then go out into the community to distribute them to people in our communities who are experiencing homelessness. We are active in San Diego's downtown area and in Chula Vista, distributing upwards 100 burritos a month to our hungry neighbors. This popular program is funded through the Young Adult Ministry program and originated when one of our intern ministers named Stevie learned about it from the Burrito Project Los Angeles.
Food & Diaper Pantry
We also have opportunities in packaging and distribution shifts at the South Bay Food Pantry, the Uptown Community Center and the South Bay Diaper Pantry.
