The Unitarian Universalist Men's Fellowship (UUMF) is an affiliated organization of The First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego. The goal of this fellowship is to assist men in their quest to discover who they are as men, sons, fathers, grandfathers, husbands, partners, and brothers. Our mission is to support men in the quest for lives of compassion, integrity, responsibility, and balance. We are a caring, intentionally diverse brotherhood, committed to social justice, and offering opportunities for intimate sharing, personal growth, and spiritual deepening.

Unitarian Universalist Men's Fellowship Spring Renewal 2020
Carpe Diem—Meaning/Purpose/Joy
April 17-19, 2020
Camp de Benneville Pines
Carpe Diem is the Latin term most often translated as Seize the Day. What is most important for us today—Finding Meaning, Acting with Purpose, Experiencing Joy? Now is the time to rediscover these basic drives to experience more fulfilling lives. In open discussions and activities and in small supportive kinship group setting, we can be open to the issues that challenge us to the core and help us to discover who we are as men, sons and brothers. Please join us to fellowship, make music, experience rituals, and enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains and forests at our sacred Camp deBenneville Pines. For more information please contact Mike Dorfi by email at mdorfi@cox.net or by phone at (619) 466-5952. Learn more about Camp DeBenneville Pines at uucamp.org.

Programs
Fourth Monday Discussion
On the fourth Monday of the month, interested men meet in at the Hillcrest Campus in Room 114 (usually) from 7-9pm to discuss a wide variety of topics dealing with men’s issues. An optional pot-luck dinner is available at 6pm to meet and greet. Most meetings begin with a check-in. These discussions and events/topics are announced via our website and email to UUMF participants.
Support Groups
The Men's Fellowship currently has a dozen closed committed active support groups. They usually meet twice a month at members’ homes. The groups range in size from five to eight men. If, after becoming familiar with the Fellowship, you would like to consider membership in a group, please contact Armin Kuhlman, support group coordinator (contact info below). These are not crisis groups and require a significant time commitment.
Renewals
The crown jewels of the Fellowship are the Annual UUMF Spring Renewal held at Camp deBenneville Pines in Angelus Oaks, California in April and the Fall Men’s Renewal held at Camp Stevens in Julian, California in September. The 2020 UUMF Fall Renewal is scheduled for September 25-27, 2020. For more information contact Mike Dorfi at mdorfi@cox.net or (619) 466-5952, or John Holl at johnholl@cox.net or (619) 546-6525 .
