Take ActionClimate Change Music Video
Check out this positive and motivating short video. It’s a great song for social and climate justice and it’s an ear-opening call to action. Please share with your friends. As Peter Seeger said, “A good song reminds us of what we are fighting for”! Youth v. Oil is asking the County to pass a resolution supporting the bill on December 9. Support this resolution and youth leaders HERE. Protect Western Arctic from Drilling The Trump administration plans to open the Western Arctic for oil and gas drilling, the nation’s largest intact tract of public land with diverse habitats, wildlife and home to indigenous communities. This pristine area is essential to protect biodiversity, slow global warming and avoid the worst climate change impacts. Take Action Now to Protect Western Arctic. Tell Congress to Stop Offshore Drilling Expansion The Trump administration plans to expand offshore oil and gas drilling, threatening the Atlantic, Pacific, Gulf of Mexico, and Arctic Ocean. The Interior Department’s 5-year offshore drilling plan will approve massive new oil and gas leasing in U.S. waters. The critical 60-day comment period to gather public feedback has begun. Contact Congress Now Support Wind Energy! Trump's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) ordered companies to stop construction on a wind farm off the Rhode Island coast which is almost finished. It's just one of the many clean energy projects that’s been slowed or shut down. ADD YOUR NAME HERE to demand the BOEM stop blocking offshore wind and other renewable energy projects! Who Cares About Climate Change? Americans may actually care more about climate change than politically charged issues like immigration and abortion. But those climate concerns aren't translating to political action because people evidently don’t view climate change as a political issue, according to a national poll from Environmental Voters Project. The climate movement must build political power! SEE POLL |

SB 684/AB 1243 (Addis, Weiner, et.al)
Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act of 2025
Requires fossil fuel companies to pay for the environmental damage they cause to the state via climate change.
SB10 (Steve Padilla)
Otay Mesa East Toll Facility Act: toll revenues: environmental mitigation.
Authorizes revenues from the new toll road (211) to be built in connection with the new East Otay Mesa Port of Entry to be used to mitigate border wastewater pollution, and to be used for maintenance of the IBWC plant.
AB915 (Petrie-Norris)
Clean Energy Reliability Investment Plan (CERIP)
Appropriates $900,000,000 from the General Fund to the CEC for the 2025–26 fiscal year for the CERIP for local incentive grants to increase investment in clean energy infrastructure.
AB1260 (Ward)
Electricity: renewable energy subscription programs: Community Solar.
In 2022, Ward got a bill passed (AB915) that allowed renters and small home owners in low-
income neighborhoods, who could not install rooftop solar, to “buy into” neighborhood solar arrays. But the CPUC devised rules for implementation that made the program financially infeasible. This bill would remedy the actions of the CPUC. It’s a climate justice/equity bill.
AB 368 (Ward)
Energy: building standards: passive house standards
Existing law requires the State to prescribe design standards for buildings to reduce energy consumption. This bill would require the State to evaluate Passive House energy efficiency standards (which are more stringent than current CA standards), and, if appropriate, adopt them as an alternative compliance pathway. This is would encourage building electrification.
