Hillcrest Sunday services offer ASL interpretation both in person and embedded within the livestream video. The interpreter appears in a picture-in-picture format, with no separate stream required.
Participate in our Generosity Offering
In April and May, our Generosity Offering supports GRID Alternatives San Diego, which works to bridge the solar divide by bringing renewable energy to communities of concern and training the green workforce of tomorrow. They provide no-cost to very low-cost solar panels and batteries for low-income families while offering hands-on installation experience for job seekers and community volunteers, as well as technical assistance and turnkey services for affordable housing developers.
Their work is guided by a “triple bottom line” of People, Planet, and Employment, expanding access to solar power and solar careers across San Diego. From San Ysidro to Escondido, Barrio Logan to Julian, they are installing solar on low-income homes at a rate of about two per week, powered by the efforts of volunteers and trainees gaining valuable, job-ready experience.
In addition to installations, GRID Alternatives San Diego invests deeply in workforce development through programs like Installation Training, Solar Corps Fellowships, Solar Futures for youth, the Women in Solar Initiative, and Troops to Solar, helping connect communities that need good jobs with an industry that needs skilled workers.
