Interfacing with our larger UU family
The denominational relations team supports activities that connect First Church to our larger UU family. It also serves as a link with the cluster, district and continental UU organizations.

General Assembly (GA)
June 24-June 28, 2020 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, Rhode Island
GA in Providence has been cancelled this year due to the pandemic but will be held by ZOOM. If you have not attended GA before, this is an excellent opportunity to see what it's all about for a minimal cost - $150 registration fee. For regular GA junkies, you'll be interested to see how the UUA adapts to the ZOOM format (will this be the next 'normal'?)
We think there will be the usual Ware Lecture, Service of the Living Tradition and Sunday Morning Service. It will be interesting to see how they do the concurrent workshops held all day long. Business of the UUA is conducted in six sessions including voting on proposed social justice resolutions.
Our congregation is allowed to have 13 voting delegates for the business items. We still have slots available although online delegates will not receive the church reimbursement. To be a delegate please fill out and submit the form below to be autnorized.
For more details about the special features of the conference this year, visit the website, www.uua.org/ga. All you need is a computer or smart phone connection to participate in all plenary sessions, select workshops and special presentations including the worship services and the Ware Lecture. More information available at www.uua.org/ga/ .
