Don’t want to deal with the time-consuming work of selling it? Then donate it to us! Donating a vehicle is easy, stress-free, and a wonderful way to support this congregation's work. AND, your friends can donate, too! Almost all vehicles are accepted - even if it has engine trouble, no registration or can't pass a smog test. Vehicles don't need to run, but must have an engine and be towable. Please note that vehicles in extremely poor condition or out of our tow range may be declined, as the cost to tow them may be more than their value. First UU Church works with Charitable Auto Resources, Inc. (CARS™), a reputable nonprofit corporation, which provides car donation services for over 500 charities and non-profit organizations.

- Click the Donate Your Vehicle button and complete the online donation form or call (toll free) the CARS donation program.
- A driver will pick up your vehicle from your home, business or repair shop - usually within 24 to 48 hours of your initial phone call. All you need is a clear title, and the rest will be taken care of, including pickup, at no cost to you.
- Once your vehicle has been sold, you'll receive a receipt for your tax records and the sale proceeds (70% of the sale) will be donated to First UU Church of San Diego in your name. You'll may even receive a tax benefit from the total sale amount.
