Participate in Children's RE Online
Due to current precautions against the Corona virus, all onsite gatherings at both our Hillcrest Campus and South Bay Campus have been temporarily suspended so we are taking our religious education online! Our online sessions are meant for a group of children, but most can be adapted for home use. To begin, we suggest having a ritual, such as a chalice lighting and/or reciting our affirmation or you can do other rituals that are appropriate for your family. One thing you might like to try is the Do-Re-Mi Principles, sung to the tune of Do-Re-Mi. Here are the texts for each of these.
We are Unitarian Universalists
A people of open minds,
And welcoming hands

Somos Unitarios Universalistas
Personas de mentes abiertas
Y manos que dan la bienvenida
Do Re Mi Principles
One: Each person is worthwhile
Two: Be kind in all you do.
Three: We help each other learn
Four: And search for what is true.
Five: All people have a say.
Six: Work for a peaceful world.
Seven: The web of life’s the way.
That will bring us back to me and U.U.
Do Re Mi Fa SO La Ti Do…Ti…Do!
New! Children's RE Library
We are gathering into our online Children's RE Library all sorts of storybook readings, educational videos, downloadable lessons, online activities and more to help children learn about Unitarian Universalism. You're invited to explore and send us your submissions to help grow our online collection. Head over to our Family Ministry Online Library.
We welcome your whole family
The Mission of the Children's Ministry Program is to nurture and stimulate our children's spiritual and personal growth and to teach and model the values that hold us together as Unitarian Universalists. Classes are taught by members of the congregation. Some of our teachers are parents of children in the program, many are not. All classes, except the nursery, follow a curriculum. In all of our classes we strive to make our children feel loved and accepted. We believe that all children are worthy human beings deserving our respect.
