  • Enhancing Conversation Classes Beginning Feb 23

    Based on the recent sermons on how we might enhance our conversations with others, Ian’s evening classes on Conversation and Covenant will begin Thursday, February 23, and continue March 2 and 9, 7 pm, Room 323, Hillcrest. Join Rev. Ian as we explore and gain experience in identifying crucial conversations, figuring out how to navigate them, and developing skills in dialogue.   Read more.

  • US Constitution Teach-In Network

    February 19 (Sunday) 11 am, Library, Hillcrest. If you are committed to teaching about the US Constitution, you are welcome to attend this free, non-partisan class. We’ll discuss Articles I and II.   Read more.

  • Interfaith Dialogue with Imam Taha Hassane

    Saturday, February 18, 1 pm – 3 pm in the Meeting House. Imam Taha Hassane of the Islamic Center of San Diego will join us for conversation, connection, and collaboration. Imam Taha will share the experience of the Muslim community in San Diego, and we’ll share questions and explore how we, as individuals and as a community, can support and nurture each other.   Read more.

  • Immigrant and Racial Justice Webinar on Sanctuary

    February 16 at 6:30 pm in Room 320, Hillcrest. Join us for a short meeting, and a National UU Webinar and discussion—“Faithful Discernment: Is Your Congregation Called to Offer Sanctuary?” We will view parts, and you may view the complete webinar at home.   • Stronger Together! 2nd Annual Women’s Chorus Concert

    April 29 at 7 pm, this will benefit Women’s Empowerment International (WE) programs for impoverished women in San Diego, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, and Uganda. To increase our donation to WE, we’re raising funds on Faithify!, the UUA’s crowdfunding site. Learn about, and pledge to our campaign.   Read more.

  • Interfaith Homeless Shelter

    February 12 through 26, our congregation will provide shelter and meals for 12 guests, and we need your help! Volunteers serve as overnight hosts, and help with a variety of small projects, including: coordinating bedding, organizing laundry, shopping for food and supplies, set-up and clean-up of the shelter. Sign-ups will be available on both campuses.   Read more.

  • US Constitution Teach-In Network

    February 5 (Sunday) 11 am, Room 320. Everyone is welcome to attend this organizing meeting for volunteers. We will discuss ways to teach the US Constitution to adults, youth, and children in a non-partisan manner.   Read more.
