Forming the Search Team
As we begin the exciting and important work of searching for our next settled lead minister, we are asking every member of our congregation to help us identify the right people to lead this search. In the coming weeks, you will be contacted by a member of our coordinating team and asked to suggest individuals who you believe would serve well on the Ministerial Search Team. Roles and Responsibilities of Search Team Members
The seven-member Ministerial Search Team leads a months-long discernment process that, while demanding, is deeply meaningful. The search team decides who will hold certain roles and have oversight over certain tasks, such as chairing the committee, leading the communications effort, overseeing the small group/focus group discussions, ensuring that the church’s search website pages contain current and relevant information, compiling the congregational record, etc. Before considering being part of the search team, it’s important to understand the
