Join us for our first ever, remote collaborative video service! When our governor announced a statewide home quarantine, we decided to create a collaborative, video worship service. Over the course of just 4 days, all of the folks who work together to create our worship service (and a few extra helpers) dived into learning the technology needed to bring together an online service from their own separate locations. We learned a lot and have lots of ideas for improvement but we're so excited to share this with all of you. Please participate by adding a comment below.
This week's story for Children's Religious Education
We are using a curriculum called Picture Book Unitarian Universalism, written by Katie Covey. Each lesson is based around a picture book that illustrated our Unitarian Universalist identity. This week’s story is "Old Turtle" by Douglas Wood, illustrated by Cheng-Khee Chee. It’s about a time when all of creation began to argue about who or what God is. Old Turtle shows wisdom and the ability to see beyond herself. To watch a read-along video and download the lesson plan visit our Children's RE Library page.
Greetings friends. Our first-ever live stream service took place today at 9:30am PST. We are working hard to improve the quality in every way and we humbly hope that this first attempt was comforting, enjoyable and inspiring. Thank you so much to everyone who helped us put this together from our wonderful musicians to tech folks to you, our members and friends.
