We are overjoyed to announce that on February 8th, First UU voted to call Rev. Kristen Kuriga as our settled Associate Minister! With a fantastic turnout of 213 voters, the congregation spoke with a resounding 99.1% "Yes" vote.
Unanimous Support: Call Discernment Report Now Available
The Board of Trustees is excited to share the Call Discernment Team’s report, which details the congregational support for calling Rev. Kristen Kuriga as our settled Associate Minister.
After 10 listening sessions across all campuses, the feedback was 100% unanimous: Rev. Kristen’s "black belt" pastoral care, powerful social justice leadership, and deep spiritual presence make her the ideal fit for our future.
Based on these findings, the Board has called for a formal congregational vote following the Hillcrest service on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
