Standing in Solidarity: First UU Joins the Interfaith Procession for World Day of Migrants and Refugees

As Immigrant Heritage Month reminds us of the profound contributions and resilience of immigrant communities across California, First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego invites you to put faith into action.

First UU is proud to participate in an upcoming interfaith procession on World Day of Migrants and Refugees to honor the dignity, courage, and worth of all migrants and refugees. World Refugee Day highlights the strength of individuals and families forced to flee war, conflict, and persecution, while celebrating the dedicated resettlement agencies and vibrant refugee communities that enrich our state and country.

Co-sponsored by the San Diego Organizing Project (SDOP)—a faith-based organizing coalition of which First UU is an active member—this gathering calls upon clergy, religious figures, and non-denominational community leaders to stand united. Together, we affirm a message that transcends politics: “Every person is inherently worthy.”
