Mea sailed in the Global Sumud Flotilla to deliver aid and stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza. She joins us to share her firsthand account of the journey, including her experience of being imprisoned and brutalized by Israeli forces alongside fellow participants.

What is the Gaza Flotilla Movement?
The Gaza Flotilla movement began in 2008 with the Free Gaza Movement, launching sea vessels to deliver vital aid and challenge Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip. Imposed in 2007, the naval and land blockade severely restricts the movement of goods, people, and humanitarian supplies, driving ongoing humanitarian crises in the region. Organized by international coalitions such as the Freedom Flotilla Coalition and the Global Sumud Flotilla, these missions bring together global volunteers committed to human rights and breaking the siege.
