Democracy is sustained not by passive hope, but by intentional, collective action grounded in moral conviction. As we prepare for the upcoming election season, faith communities across our region are stepping forward to answer the call of justice, equality, and civic participation. The San Diego Organizing Project—a nonpartisan, multi-faith network of churches dedicated to expanding opportunity in local communities—is hosting a regional leadership forum. First Universalist Unitarian (First UU), a member congregation of SDOP, will participate alongside diverse faith leaders to launch Voting Is Sacred, a dedicated season of nonpartisan civic action. All First UU congregants are welcome to participate. Please register here, so we know how much food to provide. Facing the Moment Together This forum will gather 150 faith and community leaders to face what this election season asks of us. Grounded in the conviction that every voice matters, the Voting Is Sacred campaign equips congregations to act as moral anchors in their neighborhoods. What You Will Leave With Participants will gain concrete tools, strategic networks, and clear pathways for engagement:
Democracy is strongest when we show up for one another. Join SDOP, First UU, and neighboring community leaders as we lift our voices and votes for a better future.
