A Cozy New Corner for Young Readers: Introducing Our Children’s Lending Library!

The First UU Bookroom listened to our community’s parents, and we are thrilled to unveil our new and improved Children’s Lending Library—complete with a cozy reading corner designed just for kids!

Whether your little ones want to curl up with a story during the social hour after service or take a few favorites home for bedtime reading, this space was created to foster a love of books, community sharing, and simple trust.
Our setup keeps things as easy and accessible as possible:

• No Library Cards: Simply walk up and pick a book that catches your eye.
• No Due Dates or Tracking: Enjoy the story at your own pace without worrying about returns or overdue notices.
• Take One or Leave One: Kids are welcome to take a book home, bring one back when they're done, or keep a beloved story forever.

As children grow, their bookshelves often overflow with stories they’ve outgrown. You can easily make room at home while blessing another young reader by donating your family's gently used children’s books to our collection.

Our motto says it all: "Take a book, love a book, donate a book."
