You Know I Had To Try Them.

There is a delicacy in Oaxaca called chapulines. They are said to be delicous and once you taste them it assures that you will come back to Oaxaca. They taste pretty good seasoned as they are with salt, chilies and lime. That is, until I remember that I'm crunching on deep fried grasshoppers!

The Rummage Sale was a wonderful, intergenerational event. Everything went SO well & folks were so happy & proud at church today. Money is still coming in. The top kitchen cabinets, the 2 islands, & the stove was removed today. The freezer went yesterday. The hood & some bottom cabinets go today. Someone is interested in buying the lights in Bard Hall & someone suggested we could make several thousand dollars selling boiler parts to a scrap metal company!! It's really feeling like the building is going to come down!!

I have tried grasshoppers when I was a Boy Scout. Right out of the field they are like crunchy guacamole.
