What's Happening this Week in children's Programming

What’s happening in our classes on Sunday December 15

At our Hillcrest Campus:
We have Nursery Care is for children from birth up to age two in room 107 at our 9:30 service.

At 11:30 we provide Childcare for children birth through age three in room 105.

Our 2s & 3s class will meet in room 105 at 9:30. In their curriculum, Celebrating Me and My World, the children will explore their lesson “I Can Wait.” This session our children will learn about the fact that everyone has to wait, and that sometimes waiting can be hard. By learning to wait, the children gain self confidence and a greater sense of self-control.

At both 9:30 and 11:30 our four-year olds through our first graders will explore the curriculum Picture Book UU and meet in room 103. This Weeks Lesson focuses on the picture book This is the Stable. In exploring this version of the Christmas Story, the children will learn about making choices with love and reason.

At 9:30 we offer two classes for Grades 2-6.
Values Through Game Playing will meet in room 113. The class will continue to explore the values inherent in the games they play. What values will they learn from playing Mind Games?
and
7 Principles Banner Class will meet in room 115. This session continues the creation of the banner squares. This week the class will create a square for the Sixth of our UU Principles.

At 11:30 for Grades 2-6 we offer Values Through Game Playing. The class will meet in room 113. The class will continue to explore the values inherent in the games they play. What values will they learn from playing Mind Games?

At Our South Bay Campus:
Families who attend the service at 9:30 have the opportunity to worship together in a mutigenerational setting. Come and hear Rev. Arvid preach his sermon The Mother of Us All, in recognition last Thursday’s Our Lady of Guadalupe Day. Our children will stay for the first part of the service which will include a story and then leave to spend time together in class.
