What's Happening this Sunday in Children's Ministry
What’s happening in our classes on Sunday December 1?
At our Hillcrest Campus:
We have Nursery Care is for children from birth up to age two in room 107 at our 9:30 service.
At 11:30 we provide Childcare for children birth through age three in room 105.
Our 2s & 3s class will meet in room 105 at 9:30. In their curriculum, Celebrating Me and My World, the children will explore their lesson “I Can Touch.” This session will help our children learn that they can discover things about our their world by paying attention to the way things feel.
At both 9:30 and 11:30 our four-year olds through our first graders will explore the curriculum Picture Book UU and meet in room 103. This Weeks Lesson focuses on the picture book One Candle. In exploring this story our children will learn about the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah and will connect it to the concept of hope in their own lives.
At 9:30 and 11:30 we offer for Grades 2-6.
This week continues our monthly worship series. Join us as again we hear an exciting adventure Where Do We Come From? Who Are We? Where Are We Going? Using the words of a favorite hymn from our Hymnal we will explore together someone who will embody our Second Source – Words and Deeds of Prophetic women and men.
At Our South Bay Campus:
Families who attend the service at 9:30 at our South Bay Campus have the opportunity to worship together in a mutigenerational setting. We will hear Rev. Arvid’s sermon “Kindness in the Age of Meanness.” We will share a special story for all ages and our children will meet with their leaders to explore the topic together in their classroom.
