  • Now Accepting Generosity Offering Nominations!

    If you know of an organization that you would like to be considered for a generosity offering, you can pick up a nomination form at the Social Justice table on the patio or download one here. The Social Justice Ministry Team (SJMT) selects the organizations that will be the recipients of the monthly generosity offerings based on suggestions from the entire congregation. Organizations considered are outside (non-UU), local community-based 501(c)(3) non-profits that reflect UU values.   Read more.

  • Women’s March on Washington - January 21st, 2017

    Intern Minister Alix Klingenberg will be flying to the East coast to march for women, people of color, LGBTQ folk, Muslims, people with disabilities, and every person of conscience in this country. For those for whom this trip is not an option, know there are so many ways we can and will fight for our rights and freedoms. Speak up by calling your representatives, by writing poetry and making art, by sitting next to someone at risk on the bus or being more kind to a stranger. Learn more.  Read more.

  • The Black Lives Matter Movement

    Black Lives Matter at First UU ChurchDear First UU Church members and friends,
    The leadership team of the Social Justice Ministry Team has endorsed the display of the” Black Lives Matter” banner at First UU Church of San Diego. The Church’s Board of Trustees recently approved a letter of support for the “Black Lives Matter Movement.”  Read more.
