On May 20, five leaders from the First UU Church of San Diego went to Sacramento to join with 70 UUs and hundreds of immigrant's rights leaders to advocate for meaningful reform on the statewide level. They met with their elected representatives to advocate for the passage of the TRUST Act and other legislation that will create more justice and equity for immigrant families.
On the national level, UUs continue to advocate for the passage of comprehensive immigration reform, with support from our partners, the Unitarian Universalist Legislative Ministry, San Diego Organizing Project, and the Standing on the Side of Love Campaign. Every Sunday in the month of June, come by the Get Involved Table on the South Bay Campus or the Social Justice Table on the Hillcrest Campus to sign a postcard to your Congressional representative supporting a path to citizenship and family unity.
