South Bay Social Justice and Service Task Group

Social Justice and Service

The South Bay campus decided that social justice and service would be our primary method of outreach to the South Bay community. We want people to know who we are by seeing the values we demonstrate. Task group volunteers proposed and voted upon social justice and service activities and decided to work with nonprofit organizations that are consistent with our values. In recent months, we have worked with organizations including Feeding America San Diego, the San Diego Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, the Chula Vista Community Collaborative, Border Angels and the Peace Resource Center -- usually in conjunction with the Hillcrest campus.
