Forgiveness - Sunday, October 16, 2005
Rev. Dr. Arvid Straube. This service honors the Jewish High Holy Days. Dr. Straube preaches on forgiveness and at the end we have our own version of the Kol Nidre ritual. This "Renunciation of Vows" is the climax of the High Holy Days. Jan Carpenter Tucker is the reader, Dave Karpinski is the song leader, and Ronald Robboy is the cellist. In the ritual itself, the congregational response phrase is "We forgive ourselves and each other; we begin again in love".
