As part of our Partner Church program we exchange letters between children in San Diego and Malingin. Here's a letter from one student, Erwin.
Hi I’m Erwin Castañeda, 13 years old. I go to school Monday to Friday. I wake up at 5am or 6am. Then I go to school at 6:30am and the school is about 4 km from our house. A few weeks ago, there was a typhoon named “Juan” (John in English). The rain is very heavy but it eventually stopped. In our school campus, there are some thieves and liers. They are bad. I would like to tell you that we will celebrate our 29th Anniversary. I also dream to go to San Diego. There is no snow in the Philippines, it only rains. Philippines has two seasons, sunny and rainy. I am First year high school and the name of my school is Ramon Torres Malingin National High School. What is the name of your school? Is it big? This is the end of my long letter.
We love you in San Diego.
