My First Day Of Class

I checked out of my hotel early this morning after making sure there would be a room for me if I didn't find a place.  It is much cheaper to rent a studio apartment than a hotel for the length of time I am staying.  The school arranged for me to meet a lady at 6:30 who will show me some apartments.

There was a huge mistake and I was put in a class with someone with NO Spanish whatsoever, which became very clear in the first half hour.  I pointed this out to my teacher, twice, more insistent the second time and we went to the office where they remembered that I had taken a placement test on Friday.  My new class had two guys, one from Canada and one Italian from Switzerland.  Our maestra, Belen, taught us about direct and indirect pronouns which was new to me and she kept things fun. She also helped me be clearer about reflexive verbs.

There are a diverse and interesting group of students here.

I am in the right class.

I'll let you know about my new place when I find one.

Arvid, I'm enjoying your blog from Mexico very much and am getting just a teeny bit jealous. Spent three months last winter in San Felipe, Baja, and would love to go back again. Disfrutar, mi amigo
