Generosity Offerings

Supporting our vision

One important way we live our values as a congregation is through our monthly Generosity Offerings. Each year, our congregation gives away over $50,000 to local organizations working to create justice and compassion.

Generosity Offering Suggestions

The Social Justice Ministry Team (SJMT) selects the organizations that will be the recipients of the monthly generosity offering from suggestions from the entire congregation. Organizations that are considered are outside (non-UU), local community based non-profits that reflect UU values (must be a 501c3). If you know of an organization that you would like to be considered for a generosity offering, please send your suggestions and application filled out by September, for the following church year, to Angela Fujii, SJMT Coordinator, angela@firstuusandiego.org, 619-298-9978, x222.
