Would you like to represent First UU in Arizona and/or New Orleans? The buzz is beginning for our faith movement's annual gatherings! If you have been a member for at least a year, you are eligible and encouraged to be a delegate to either or both the Regional Assembly and the General Assembly.
Note: The former Pacific Southwest Region has been merged with three other districts to form the Pacific Western Region.
Regional Assembly (RA in Portland, OR (April 27-29, 2018)
Regional Assembly 2018 will be held in the Double Tree Hotel in Lloyd Center, Portland, OR.
Speakers include Washington Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, advocate for women’s, immigrant, civil, and human rights; and the Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray, newly elected UUA president.
Note: Previously the Sunday morning speaker was to have been Rev. Dr. William Barber, but he had a personal obligation emerge that created a scheduling conflict.
Programming includes workshops, worship, district meetings, and an optional social justice activity.

General Assembly (GA) in Kansas City, MO (June 20 - 24, 2018)
General Assembly 2018 will be held at the Kansas City Convention Center, Kansas City, MO.
Features include the Banner Parade, the Ware Lecture, Service of the Living Tradition, and Sunday Morning Service. Numerous concurrent workshops are held all day long Thursday through Saturday. Business of the UUA is conducted in six sessions including voting on proposed social justice resolutions.

If you would like to be a delegate to GA, you must apply to First Church using the same application form here and in box 13 in the Volunteer Room. The same application form is used for both RA and GA. The form can also be downloaded from [link to new form].
You can also attend GA as an offsite delegate. All you need is computer connection. You can participate in all Plenary sessions, select workshops and special presentations including the worship services and the Ware Lecture. More information available at www.uua.org/ga/off-site
