For over 20 years the Art Guild of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego has promoted the work and enrichment of San Diego regional artists through shows and discussions. Participation in other activities at the Church is encouraged but not required for participation in the Guild.
UU Art Guild/Bard Hall Gallery Receptions are the Second Tuesdays of February, April, June, August, October, and December, 6 to 8:30 pm in Bard Hall at the Welcome Center.
Bring up the three works to share during discussion (place art on the tables) This can be paintings, drawings, photography, crafts, collage, sculpture, etc., or short excerpts of poetry, creative writing, performance, or music. (If you plan on doing a reading or other performance, please let a coordinator know prior to the sharing portion of the evening.)
Second Tuesday, 6 to 8:30 pm:
6-7 pm Reception, refreshments
7-7:30 pm Meet the artists on display, Q&A
7:30-8:30 pm Topic discussion and share work
Attending second Tuesday reception/discussion group's and sharing work makes you eligible for future shows. Only work that can hang on the walls can be shown. Work hangs/come down on the First Tuesday at 3:30. There is no fee, artists provide the reception goodies, and do their own external PR.
