  • Dr. Ysaye M. Barnwell is coming to First Church!

    Dr. Ysaye Barnwell will be leading a workshop on Saturday January 14th from 9am to 3pm and then co-leading our Sunday service with Ian on the 15th. We hope you can join us for both!
    Workshop: Building a Vocal Community® The Power of Song in Community
    Join us for a gathering of singing, story, and history as Dr. Barnwell leads us in rhythms, chants and traditional songs. Throughout the workshop, this music and the practice of singing it will be placed in the historical and social context of the communities from which it grew.   • Women’s March on Washington - January 21st, 2017

    Intern Minister Alix Klingenberg will be flying to the East coast to march for women, people of color, LGBTQ folk, Muslims, people with disabilities, and every person of conscience in this country. For those for whom this trip is not an option, know there are so many ways we can and will fight for our rights and freedoms.
