2nd Annual PJs, Pancakes, and Social Justice!
August 19, Saturday, 2 pm to 4 pm, Common Room. This fun, multigenerational event will give families with children (and those interested in multigenerational social justice work) a chance to play, dream, and plan together, as we seek ways to live our values to help heal the world. Come in your PJs, and enjoy some delicious pancakes. We will then work together to set out our priorities and plans for engaging in service and social justice over the next months. We will begin with a service project assembling bags for those experiencing homelessness. For this project, we are asking families that can to bring items on the list following: ziplock bags (gallon or larger), maxi pads, tampons, chapstick, underwear (all adult sizes and genders), flip flops (all adult sizes), backpacks/totes, disposable razors, toothbrushes, and travel sizes of sunscreen, bug spray, hand sanitizer, and toothpaste. If possible, please bring these items that same day. Contact Dr. Melissa for information.
